Tekirdag Süleymanpaşa Dedecik District

Dedecik
The name of this neighborhood was given in memory of a grandfather who was hanged by the enemy at the entrance of the village during the War of Independence.

It is located 35 km from Süleymanpaşa, the central district of Tekirdağ. It is adjacent to Karansıllı Neighborhood in the east, İbribey (Beyköy) Neighborhood in the west, Generli Neighborhood in the north and Evciler Neighborhood in the south.

The residents of the neighborhood make a living with agriculture and animal husbandry. Wheat and sunflower are the most produced crops. Melon and watermelon production has also been increasing in recent years.

There is no primary school in the neighborhood, but bussing services are used. The neighborhood has both drinking water and sewage infrastructure. There is no PTT branch. A health center and a health home are available. Access to the neighborhood is provided by an asphalt road, there is electricity and fixed telephone connection.

In 2019, the population of the neighborhood was recorded as 306 people.

On December 6, 2012, with the metropolitan status of Tekirdağ, all villages were transformed into neighborhoods.
